James R. Bosley Jr., PhD
Founder and General Manager
Jim Bosley founded Clermont, Bosley LLC to provide high-impact modeling and advisory services to pharma/ biotech R&D and management. Dr. Bosley has been modeling biological processes since 1986, when he was Project Manager (responsible for sales, management, and technical success) of a consulting engagement with a major South San Francisco biotech start-up and Fluor-Daniel.
Immediately prior to Clermont, Dr. Bosley was Vice President for Rosa’s physiological, mechanistic modeling practice area. He was responsible for marketing, sales, project management, and execution of modeling and simulation engagements. For his seven years at Rosa, Dr. Bosley sold, managed, and contributed technically to every collaboration, which included writing Rosa’s first physiological model. He has presented on work done with Merck, Pfizer, and other leading firms.
Before joining Rosa, Dr. Bosley held technology and management positions with Fluor-Daniel, DuPont Central Research, Pharsight, and Entelos. At Entelos, Dr. Bosley executed professional service modeling engagements with large pharmaceutical companies. At Pharsight, he served as Senior Director of Product Management for the Software Division. At DuPont, he modeled the glycolysis metabolism of recombinant E. Coli for a process (now successfully commercialized) producing plastics from biological feedstocks.
Dr. Bosley has lectured at the University of Delaware’s school of Chemical Engineering. He holds PhD (University of Texas at Austin) and BS (University of Wisconsin-Madison) degrees in Chemical Engineering, as well as an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California-Irvine. He is a member of ASCPT and AAPS, and serves as the local section Chair of the NY/NJ/PA ISOP meetings.
